We found this snippet on a Drake mixtape released last week called "Heartbreak Drake 6: Thank Me Later Edition" (track 17)...and for reasons unknown to us as to why it was on this mixtape, because this is clearly an unreleased Kid Cudi snippet. Not only that but the mixtape version we received, incorrectly labeled the track with another name and artist, wtf!? Oh well...based on the lyrics Cudi doesn't give a f&@k, so why should we. A good look either way, so we had to post it.

Rapper, Eminem is taking an uplifting new direction with his new single. Eminem has just had his latest single 'Not Afraid' leaked to the internet. Unlike most of Eminem's first single releases, the record doesn't diss any pop icons, doesn't jab at any politicians or current events, instead the record seems remorseful, reflective and dare we say - remorseful.
"It's been a ride, I guess I had to go to that place to get to this one. Some of you might still be in that place. If you trying to get out, follow me," he says, talking at the beginning of "Not Afraid' (Lyrics).
As the raps starts to kick in, Em threatens to "tear down" those who looked down on him.
"You can try to read my lyrics off of this paper before I lay 'em/ But you won't take the sting out these words before I say 'em.
"I'm not afraid/ To take a stand," he continues on the chorus. "Everybody come take my hand/ We'll walk this road together through the storm/ Whatever weather come the war/ Just letting you know that you're not alone/ Holla if you feel been down the same road."
On the second verse, Eminem admits to some artistic missteps and declares that his last album, Relapse, was a bit of letdown.
"To the fans, I never let you down again, I'm back/ I promise to never go back on that promise," the MC says in the song's second verse. "In fact, let's be honest/ That last Relapse CD was ehh/ Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground/ Relax, I ain't going to do that now."
Later in the verse, Eminem talks about his personal struggles.
"But I think I'm still trying to figure this crap out/ Thought I had it mapped out, but I guess I didn't/ It's time to exorcise these demons / These muthaf---as are doing jumping jacks now."
As the song comes to a close, Eminem says he doesn't want any more drama and wants to focus on raising his family.
"I can't just keep living this way," he sings. "So starting today, I'm breaking out of this cage / I'm standing up, I'mma face my demons/ I'm manning up, I'mma hold my ground/ I've had enough, I'm so fed up/ Time to put my life back together right now."
We know that Eminem has to diss somebody on his records, but to diss himself, that's another first for Hip-Hop.

I know it may seem like we’ve been hearing a lot from Big Boi lately, but the truth is the only non-guest work we’ve heard from the Outkast alum in the last six months was the funkdafied Fo Yo Sorrows. Well, thanks to a one-off deal with Def Jam Big’s fantastically named Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty album is back on track, and that means we should be hearing more new music like Shutterbug soon. Featuring some of the best Scott Storch production we’ve heard in a minute – talk about covering a lot of sonic ground – Shutterbug is Big Boi at his eclectically rhyming best, quickly alternating between old school Soul II Soul references (“back to life, back to reality…”) and street laced boasts. Only one man could pull of a lyrical performance like that, and his name is Sir Luscious Left Foot. If the rest of The Son of Chico Dusty sounds this fresh and clean, we might be looking at a new school classic on May 4.

Nickelus F is best known for his collaborations with rapper Drake in songs like AMPM, Friends With Money, STRESS, and many more. He's also collaborated with The Clipse and Little Brother, just to name a few. Nickelus F had this to say on Shade45 about his track:
“Season Premiere is a statement project. I wanted to take the listener through a “Season” long story. The story is told through my eyes. It takes the character from a lost, materialistic place to a dark place to him realizing why he was following his dreams in the first place. ‘Shine On’ is one of the inspirational records on the project that I’ve been really excited about putting out.”

After years of lighting up the middle ground (above underground, below the mainsteam) North Carolina duo Little Brother are finally calling it quits as a group, but before the take their place in hip-hop history they’re determined to go out on a top, a mission that should be easily accomplished if their upcoming album LeftBack is anywhere near as good as their new single Curtain Call. Backed by supremely smooth and electronically accented production from Khrysis, Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh repeatedly display the kind of lyrical dexterity that have made them beloved by true hip-hop heads everywhere: “With all the pictures added / we put our stamp on it / not being Cam’ronish / I mean diplomatic.” Unlike Brett Farve himself, I can’t help but hope Little Brother will end up Brett Farvin and call off the retirement. Either way, the farewell tour will start in earnest when Little Brother’s final album LeftBack drops April 20, also known as 4/20. Just a coincidence, I’m sure.

If this track "Here Me Cry" signifies even a piece of what his new album will sound like, then it should be a good album indeed. As We Enter, the lead single off Nas & Damian Marley‘s long-awaited collaborative album, received overwhelmingly positive reader reviews when it hit our front page in late January, but a few remarked that another track off the project would have made an even better first impression. Previously leaked sans Nas’ closing bars but presented here in its finished form, album inclusion (but not a potential single) Strong Will Continue is an anthemic cut that simmers with slow-burning determination. Marley brings a reggae flavor to his verse and hook, but goes for a trendy fusion of rap and arena-rock on the production tip, blending street-ready piano loops and synth-strings with reverb-drenched electric-guitar riffs as Nas spits his own intricate brand of motivational lyricism, interweaving religious allusions with reflections on both the rewards and the unintended consequences of his lucrative hustle. Does Strong Will Continue have the edge over As We Enter? We report, you decide.
